Family Chiropractic Care

At Northern Beaches Chiropractic, we are proud to say that we have whole families as patients from children, to teens, young adults, expectant mums, Grandparents and even Great-Grandparents! No matter how young or old you are, we may be able to help you.

Chiropractic for the Whole Family

Chiropractic can help with many of the common health problems experienced by people of all ages. Here are a few examples:

  • We can provide support to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy. Gentle Chiropractic adjustments help with the low back pain and other symptoms caused by the additional weight of the developing baby and the postural changes this can cause. After the baby is born, we can also help with the back pain often associated with lifting and carrying a young baby or young child throughout the day – that goes for Dads too!

  • For adults working in offices or in manual occupations where repetitive movements are integral to the job, we can help reduce pain in the back, neck and shoulders that has a biomechanical cause, helping to improve mobility and flexibility.

  • We can help those who suffer repeated headaches and migraines with Chiropractic adjustments and mobilisations that reduce the frequency and/or severity of attacks.

  • In older adults and seniors, joint pain and mobility issues can spoil the enjoyment of everyday life. In many cases, we can help. An added benefit of Chiropractic for seniors is often greater mobility and better balance that leads to a reduction in the risk of falling.

The Chiropractic team at Northern Beaches is qualified to practice all aspects of family Chiropractic care, offering a drug-free and non-invasive approach to health and wellbeing.  Chiropractic looks at the relationship between the functioning of the brain, spine and nervous system and seeks to correct any dysfunction that may adversely affect an individual’s health and potential, whatever their age.

What to Expect from Chiropractic

If you have never visited a Chiropractor before, you may be wondering what to expect. At an initial consultation, your Chiropractor will carry out an assessment of your health and wellbeing.

You will be asked and about any concerns or symptoms you have and to complete a health questionnaire.

A thorough examination of posture, spine, joints and muscles will detect where the causes of any problems you are experiencing may lie to build up a comprehensive picture.

After this initial assessment and examination, patients leave the Northern Beaches practice with an understanding of the cause of the problems they have been experiencing and with an agreed treatment plan. Treatment plans are specific to each patient and will include adjustments, soft tissue work, nutritional and supplementation advice and, (if applicable), guidance on exercises to do at home.
